Of course, guys, you do know that the word "liberal" is used in many verses of the bible, and always in a favorable light; while the word "conservative" appears nowhere in holy scriptures.

    1. Deuteronomy 15:14
Thou shalt furnish him liberallyout of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: ofthat wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give untohim.

    2. Proverbs 11:25
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

    3. Isaiah 32:5
The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

    4. Isaiah 32:8
But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

    5. 1 Corinthians 16:3
And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

    6. 2 Corinthians 8:2
How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

    7. 2 Corinthians 9:13
      Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for yourprofessed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

    8. James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

    Ummmmm.... NO.

Declaring war is an act of war... as is willfully abetting/harboring enemy forces and failing to comply with a ceasefire agreement.

Unfortuntately, liberals fail to realize that Islamic extremists have long been at war with us today... and can continue living under the delusion that Saddam was a nice guy who really didn't mean it when he said he wanted to sponsor terrorism against the US... and who really did fully comply with the terms of the ceasefire agreement and WMD inspections. Instead, it must be that wicked Bush. Get rid of him and these extremists won't dislike us any more.

It is worthy to note that terrorists have attacked us for more than two decades. Most of the 9/11 preparations took place while Clinton was asleep at the wheel... or else otherwise engaged.

Ummmmm....YES! Germany did formally declare war on us and Iraq did not.

What "enemy forces" did Iraq's government harbor? They don't even share a border (hint: Pakistan). That is bogus.

Show where Bush cited "failing to comply with a ceasefire agreement" as his reason for invading Iraq. He never claimed that Iraq declared war on us - he stated that it was an imminent threat to us, which it was not.

I don't know of anybody that thought Saddam was a "nice guy" except for the British maybe very early on in their relationship with him. I doubt that even the CIA that helped him to gain power in Iraq considered him to be a nice guy, easily manipulated and convenient maybe, but nice?...naw. I doubt Bush Sr. and Donald Rumsfeld had any love for him either while they were supplying him with weapons and intelligence to fight the Iranians. They did put up with his "evil ways" when it suited their purposes though even looking the other way when he supposedly "gassed his own people". None of that seemed to matter when he was "our monster".

Where do you get this stuff from Scott?

Apparently not from any research into the history of our relationship to him prior to the invasion of Kuwait. Saddam was so much "our guy" that he even asked Bush for permission to do that.

FTR isn't going to answer. I can't blame him though, since he obviously doesn't have an answer.

'Sorry. I didn't get back into the thread. I don't spend my time looking about for your posts. I was responding to JB's point about OBL. That's what interested me in the thread, and that's what I responded to. This may come as a shock to you, but I don't feel the need or have the time to respond to every point and post in a thread or feel a driving need to daily, continually monitor every thread in which I've posted. If the answer isn't quick enough for you, you might try sending a polite PM to let me or whoever know, rather than the childish, troll PM that you sent to me.

I want to offer my sincere apology to TH for my rather trollish comment about his asking for a response to his question. I obviously over-reacted to his PM and hope to build a bridge rather than burning it down. Terry, I hope you will accept my apology. We had crossed paths bitterly (apparently, again, rather from my own thin-skinnedness (is that a word?)) in the past and I was reverting to my past mode. Again, Terry, I'm sorry for jumping to take offense at what was obviously meant, as you stated in your very gracious PM response, as having fun.
