"The Word became flesh," John informs.

    What that mean:

Apollinarius (Fragment 93) argues that as the same Person cannot be both God and Man, therefore the LOGOS took the place of the human mind.

With a somewhat similar effect, both HO Buswell ( SystematicTheology :1976:217) and Millard Erickson assert that what appears (to me) to be signs of a human mind in Christ are rather the mind of God in Him being limited (God in Three Persons: 1984:223)

Contrarily, Grudem asserts that Christ has two intelligences (Systematic Theology:1994:561) as does Chas Hodge (Systematic Theology ii :1986:II:391-394), and WGT Shedd (Dogmatic Theology 1980: 2:313)

Is the Scripture so very confusing on this matter?

The Son in the "form of God" is equal to God (the Father). He "emptied Himself by taking on a full human nature. He did not lose any of the full divine nature nor was the human nature lacking in anything human. In the incarnation as Jesus of Nazarath He is 100% and 100% man. Both natures are neither separated nor confused or admixed.

He had to be 100% human to be our substitute by following the Law perfectly and dying in our place. He had to be 100% God to be perfect and satisfy the wrath of God in the place of all His redeemed.
