    I'm watching the legal proceedings, from the courtroom, of the Anna Nicole Smith thing. The judge just called someone up on the phone and swore him in over the phone, and then the lawyer questioned him over the phone! They just took it for granted that he was who he said he was.(someone claiming to be the father of the baby, I think)

    The other lawyer is stunned about this. The Fox talking head broke in with audio only and said "Folks, we have just entered a parallell universe!" :laugh: :laugh:

    This is just unreal...

    What do you think the fact you are watching it says? Why does this fascinate you? Frankly, who cares? We have people dying daily in Iraq, we have a country that needs the Gospel in the worst way, and we are focused on this garbage.

    Do we need 3 thread on Anna, and this one could have went in one of the others, good grief, why are we anna fixated, why is this even news. People die for various reasons everyday, do we have a thread for each of them on the news forum. This is a lot of attention for a woman who got famous taking her clothes off.

    dunesbury is already charting the Iraq death toll for us---at least for the U.S, and I'm sure their country knows who they're mourning. And three threads on one subject is a minor obsession here; is this the lady who's child's life is at stake at the moment? Shouldn't we worry that he/she might be destined to the same path as a stripper due to this ruling?

    Hmmm......2 threads on Anna Nicole and 1 thread on judges swearing in people over the phone that just happened to be in the Anna Nicole case...

    1,264,683 threads on Calvinism vs. Arminianism (sp?) with vile name calling and unchristian like behavior.

    394,823 threads on women and their articles of clothing.

    32,374,998 threads on the war in Iraq and how horrible the president is.

    298,372 threads on cats lover vs. cat haters.

    The same old issues are hashed out on the BB with no resolution, no peace, no end in sight, and not much lovingkindness.

    Hmmmm......2 threads on Anna Nicole and 1 thread about swearing people in over the phone....

    I don't see the big deal.

    That my tv was on a station that had this on.

    I'm a thinking feeling person.

    We dont "need" any threads on Anna Nicole Smith. Why did you click on it? You didnt have to and it wouldnt have bothered me one bit.

    It could have. Or it could have started like it did. Why did you click on it and then ridicule it?

    Are you fixated on her? I'm sure not. This just happened to be what was on TV at the time.

    That should be obvious.

    Sometimes people dying causes a thread to start. Yep. Its pretty common.

    Its sad isnt it. I sure hope this poor woman at some point became born again, dont you?

    Jesus seemed to pay great attention to a prostitute who passed her way one time. You remember that?

    I choose to be like Jesus, and I saw a vidio where this prostitute confessed Jesus as her Lord and Savior. And I for one sure hope she meant that and if she did I will be honored to share heaven with her...as I am a sinner too.

    Heaven is my destination, but I would go to the Temple of Diana to share Christ with someone who might be seeking, like Paul at the Areopagus.

    Theres nothing in the least bit "incredible" about it. Starting threads is completly normal around here. It happens all the time. Each one of mine had its own seperate purpose.

    Thats an odd thing to say. She "left" several days ago, and I hope she got right with God..

    My point is, that in my opinion, 6 threads dedicated to this woman seems like overkill and not sure why we need to address her from so many different angles. By way of comparison, a former president of the United States of America, Gerald Ford, passed away recently. He had a total of one thread created about him. I'm not even sure what it is that Anna Nicole did for a living to properly describe her but Anna 6 Gerald 1 is pretty indicative of an entertainment, gossip obsessed society. Anyway, I have my opinion and you have yours and you're free to express it so grace and peace to ya.
