    As the article indicated, most Vets do leave the military before retiring.

    OTOH, at least WPE3BQL doesn't have to worry about that because he IS retired from the military. Yep, I can flash my blue card with an expiration date of INDEF any time someone asks to see my military ID! :thumbsup:

    :laugh: it took me a few months, and a call to Tricare, to figure out that ID is my medical insurance card (I guess I never looked at the back). The things they don't tell you when you retire....:BangHead:

    WHAT???? You're expecting the government to work FOR you???

    The government (at least the federal govt.) is established to be "OF the bureaucracy, BY the bureaucracy, and FOR the bureaucracy!!! :BangHead:

    "Tricare" is a misnomer. It ought to be called, "Why Should I [the bureaucrat{s}] Care??" :thumbsup:
