I'm KJVO. But I am Christian first. The Bible says to obey and honor authority. In fact it seems to equivocate rebellion with witchcraft. You folks that keep publically "dissing" the moderators ought to be ashamed.

On a Christian board, we shouldn't even need moderators and yet some folks are running them ragged. There is no issue or truth that requires insubordination to defend it. Just look at Daniel's attitude with various pagan rulers. Look at Christ's attitude with Satan himself. Jesus treated the Devil with more respect than some of us treat the BB authority.

From time to time I slip over to the "Superman" or "Silver Surfer" boards at comicboards.com . I usually see more respect and honor payed to the moderators there among the heathen than I do here.

Romans 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Moderators are not in any way authorities to be obeyed by the lowly peons. This attitude reminds me of the King Arthur and the peasants scene in the Holy Grail

Peasant: 'Owd you get to be Moderator then?

Moderator: The Webmaster, clothed in a robe of the finest damask, held aloft the Authorized Version from the bosom of the water, and declared that I was to be the moderator of the Versions Forum

Peasant: Watery tarts (no offense meant ;) its a quote) handing out swords ain't no basis for a system of government, power comes from the people, not from some farsical aquatic ceremony

That being said, If you have a problem with a moderator, open up a PM and let 'em have it, in the proper christian attitude of course. There have been several incidents since I have been on this board when I have had to take a moderator to task for either being uneven in their enforcement in favor of one position or another, or in being just plain heavy handed. It needs to be done privately, not in the form of a public thread, but yes it does need to be done. And moderators need to moderate fairly. Everyone has their mandate.

I never question the authority of those who can kick me off the board. My back side does not conform to having a boot in it. LOL

    Well said, Pator Lacy.

As a moderator of several other boards, I don't know how to say, "Well put, Lacy!" w/o sounding as if I have a "big head", but...HA! I managed to sneak it in!

That's part of the price we pay for free speech-anyone, including "loose cannons", may post on these boards. However, free speech DOES have its limits. These boards are usually PAID FOR by someone somewhere, and are definitely OWNED by someone. I believe these owners have the right to appoint moderators, or moderate themselves, to regulate the content of their respective boards.

What does it cost me to post on this board? a little time, and the electricity to power this gizmo. Therefore I support the mods' right to remove me because they don't like the color of my eyes, if they wish.

The rules here are quite simple and liberal. It shouldn't take a users' manual to know & follow them, althouth I sometimes cross the line a little myself...

My advice(which I don't always follow) is PROOFREAD YOUR POST before you click "Add reply".
