What if next week, they utterly destroy Hezbollah, still have their gay pride parade, and still reject Christ? Will you then attribute their success to them being the apple of God's eye? Please, stop with your dispy WOF nonsense.

From a mild, somewhat progressive dispensationalist....

I say that any protection that God has over Israel is not due to any virtue within them (i.e. they are lost) but solely because of plans God has for Israel's future restoration (i.e. acceptance of Christ).

"Are Israel's troubles in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon and the Hezbollah rockets slamming daily into major Israeli population centers here a result of the Jewish state's tacit support for a homosexual parade slated for next month in Jerusalem?"

    No.

"solely because of plans God has for Israel's future restoration"

    No, not that either.

Hey, Joseph and Ken. It was the rabbi who said it, not me. :flower:

    Amen, Stefan.

Don't celebrate too soon. The parade is simply post-poned. They will probably have the parade after they defeat Hezbollah.

This is the second year they have had to call it off. Last year, it was the upheaval in Gaza. This year, it is the war. I noticed their reason was "this is no time for celebrations." That is true. But also, they might have a missile land on their heads, which might put a damper on a parade.

But, the Hezbollah rockets are God's way of lovingly keeping them out of the sun and protecting them from skin cancer . . .

    TIC (tongue in cheek) sarcasm

Perhaps they could reach out ("hands across the border") to their counter-parts in Lebanon, declare "time out" for a parade. I sincerely hope that all the military units in Israel get the message.
