. . . how anyone who criticized President Bush was called "Bush Hater" for years, but both before and after the election of Obama, we see every ridiculious accusation, from him not being a US citizen to three separate threads with the names Obama and Blagojevich in the title, to vain speculation about if he will be sworn in on the Quran. Are these the work of "Obama Haters"?

    Jim (not Irish)

As you might know already, when the Irish first came to America, including Canada, they were discriminated against. In Canada, there were signs in the shop windows, "No Irish need apply."

When they arrived in America, the quote I gave was one of their remarks. It was recorded that what they actually meant was that they were here to make a life and not to get involved in any politics. It did sound rather amusing though.

    Cheers,

    Jim

It seemsk that many Obama haters do not realize, or refuse to believe that many people who they characterize as Bush haters did not start out as "Bush haters". Many began as Bush supporters or at least well wishers and over time became critics of Bush because of what he did. That is quite different from the Obama haters who hated him before the election and continue to hate him even though he is not president yet and does not have a track record as president to like or to hate.

I see a big difference between the two groups.

Bush earned the dislike of many.

Many hate Obama simply because he is ________________ ,[fill in the blank] and not because of his presidental track record of which there is none so far.

I do not consider myself a "Obama hater" I just would like to know why he refuses to release his birth certificate? or did it get lost with Bush's last 3 month's National Guard pay vouchers

I cant say I want Obama to be sucessful (ie free college edudcation, abortion, as well as his other socalist/liberal agenda.

I do trust he will do what is best for America -

Glad you got it figured out!

Do you have a box for people like me? I consider my self a 'lover' until it comes to things like politics, power, and money...... Then just count me skeptic!

And help me figure out how to transport pictures and images into post...... (Or maybe I'm just getting too old for this stuff!)

Catcher, click on the icon that looks like a yellow square with a mountain and sun. It pops up a box where you paste the URL of the picture.

Bush has made many mistakes for sure. And, I'm not sad to see him go. However, President Elect Obama isn't much of an alternative. I don't hate him. I do hate all the wacky consperiacy theories and cheap shots like the one about him smoking in the White House. But, I don't like him. He stands for many things that I believe are immoral and will ultimately be worse for our country than what Bush did to us.

    It is an interesting reversal.

To be effective, I suspect I will need to re-read all the Bush-haters posts over the last several years to get good ideas on how to keep bashing Obama no matter what happens.

I also might want to make sure the Bush-haters that slandered the character of those on the BB who supported Bush on the war on terror don't feel neglected. We will need to slander their character for supporting Obama, no matter what happens.

On the other hand, we could listen to CK4 and encourage everyone to take a deep breath and stop the personal attacks for a change.

I vote for the latter option.

    peace to you:praying:
