Good verse. Only one race. Now, what are the bounds of each ethnic group's habitation? When does one step outside those bounds?

Since there is evidence of bounds of habitation, can it be said that co-habitation is going beyond those bounds?

Maybe I'm crazy...but I just cannot get over this comment from the trash can of comments that this quote came from.....so you actually think that mixed marriages is a result of man rebelling against God because they weren't happy with how God made them????

Why is there not more uproar in this thread??

I can understand why Filmproducer has had enough. This thread infuriates me and the BB is a lesser place without her.

SFIC wrote the following racist comments.

I can only assume that you think the Samaritans are/were a different breed because of their skin color. Here's a link to an article about Samaritans on Wikipedia that disputes this.

The problem is that you think black people and white people are not the same kind. That is racism.

How do you not see that those are racist statements?

Making statements that black people and white people are different kinds is racist. Those statements are hateful, highly offensive, and they mean that you are, in fact, a racist.

SFIC, we're not talking about cohabitation. You don't get to change the subject because you're getting called out for having made some of the most hateful, offensive comments I've ever seen.

    THANK YOU

You need to do some serious soul searching, SFIC. The mouth doesn't spew out things that aren't in the heart to begin with.

Yes, I said 'breed'. And Webster's backs me up. Here is definition 5 of Webster's 1828 Dictionary for the word 'breed.':

    5. To give birth to; to be the native place of; as, a pond breeds fish; a northern country breeds a race of stout men.

Mankind is considered a breed. Indians were often referred to as half-breeds in the Old West if they were of two different ethnic groups.

Yes, it is bringing about a new breed.

What the dump is that suppose to mean?

Man, you have no idea about the people you are talking about, or talking to. What I mean by that is you need to pick your words a little more wisely. For an old guy, who is suppose to be the mature one in the faith, you sure don't think about the statements you make before you spit them out.

Some of this thread has been pathetic. Some of it has been great.

I can tell you why I'm not in an uproar. We aren't going to change attitudes by uprising. AND I'm barely hanging on by an emotional thread this season.

I'm in no way supporting this attitude, I hope I've made that abundantly clear, but I can't do uproar.

I need to get out of this thread for a while. The posts that I've seen in this thread have just been awful. I can see why Filmproducer has had enough and I don't blame her one bit.

Wikipedia did not give the correct definition of what a Samarian is. Here is a little about the background of Samaritans with Scripture:

    Way of Life Encyclopedia
    SAMARITANS
(sure keeping). The people who inhabited the region of Samaria in central Palestine. Samaritans were a mixed race of Jews and foreigners (2Ki 17:24-41). For this reason, the Samaritans were despised by the Jews (Joh 4:9); when they called Jesus a Samaritan, they were trying to slander Him (Joh 8:48). The Lord Jesus led a Samaritan woman to salvation (Joh 4:1-54) and used a Samaritan in His teaching on showing compassion to one's neighbor (Lu 10:30-37). Of ten lepers who were healed, only the Samaritan returned to give thanks to Christ (Lu 17:11-19). Jesus commanded that the Gospel be carried to the Samaritans (Ac 1:8; 8:25).

Samaritans were a mixed breed hated and despised by others. Apparently their own parents had nothing to do with them.

Oh I think them out carefully. If one does not want to produce a mixed breed that is hated by others, the solution would be to go to the root. It is not the mixed breed's fault, it is the parents. To stop that problem, the marriage and union should stay within the bounds of one's own habitation. That would stop the problem dead in its tracks.

Racist. I don't understand how you can see your comments otherwise.

Stating that people should marry within their ethnic groups is not racism. Sorry you do not see that.
