An American author and national defense expert says he's not surprised Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has declared that his county has officially joined the nuclear club of nations. Iran's top nuclear negotiator says Iran has begun enriching uranium and is now capable of producing nuclear fuel on an "industrial scale" expanding its uranium enrichment program despite United Nations demands to end it.

Retired U.S. Army Colonel David Hunt, a military analyst, says he has been warning others about the Iranian nuclear threat for some time. "He's been a member of that [nuclear] club for a while," the colonel says in reference to the Iranian president. "I think that Ahmadinejad has been allowed to do this right in front of everybody -- Europe and us," he asserts. "I think that's why everyone cared about him; nobody cared about Ahmadinejad, truthfully, unless he had the bomb."

More than 1/4 of a million Japanese died due to being nuked. There's 12 million people who live in the Tehran province and even if you have no love for the unbelievers, you could at least spare a bit of compassion for the Christians in Tehran, no?

Rufus, please don't put your insecurities on me. I HATE it when people try and make themselves look like better Christians. You are unworthy of a response.

Curtis's brand of "Christianity" doesn't care one bit about any innocent people, they revel in killing. Just look at his first posting. It says it all.

These neocons are the greatest danger our country faces!

These are the most sober of times and joking about hundreds of thousands to millions of people being killed just doesn't strike my funny bone.

The reason I ask, the only people who have ever told me they're too holy to joke about war are people who never served. I want to know if this is the case with you, Rufus.

I'm not playing the Comparative Christianity game.

I'm unaware of the relevance of the question but any way I answer will be wrong, as you will say I'm trying to prove myself to be a better Christian than you. There is no profit in this dialogue. You made your joke, I expressed my offense to the joke...go in peace.

Did you serve, or not ? It's a relevant question.

I say believe him, we better believe him. Better to be naive later and still alive, than naive and dead.

You may think I'm a moron, I don't really care. I was, however, serious. I think the neocon philosophy is dangerous. I believe it got us into the war in Iraq, and, if left unfettered, will get un into a war in Iran.

I'm not nearly as worried now, however, since the Democrats have made advances in the Congress. I believe that after the 2008 election the Democrats will have an even larger control of Congress and also the presidency.

He will keep it up, and someone will be forced to deal with him.

One thing is for sure, no matter how he handles it, Bush will only be blamed for making the situation worse.

Don't answer his question, Rufus. This is his typical response when he makes a fool of himself. He starts having an inquisition in order to deflect the conversation.
