A lot of Christians and denomination s believe that Acts 2.38 is the plan or order of salvation. Or at least it is used to support a variation of .
Why is this the case given the context in a 'transitional ' book with 28 chapters ?

Those who teach that Acts 2:38 is the plan or order of salvation typically teach that you must be water baptized in order to obtain the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, yet multiple other verses in Acts are not in harmony with that teaching. (Acts 3:19; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18)

The Oneness groups take that to teach Baptismal regeneration, and the heresy of one must be baptized just that way and speak in tongues to be saved!
