Would it be a terrifying slippery slope to concede any good point to the Catholic Church?

I don’t think the same way about Baptists, I often find myself agreeing completely with them about the state of the world, even have the same politics amazingly.

I’m not frightened to discuss their beliefs, although not all of them have the same beliefs, but I think at least understanding each belief properly is important to dispel prejudice and misunderstandings.

Fear, prejudice and mistrust aren’t part of the Christian way, we all hold that Jesus is our Lord and Savior and King. Why not start there, if our hearts are large enough?

Are there any good points about Jehovah's Witness? Mormons? Hindus?

    False religion is false religion.

I only know that I’m learning stuff all the time, I’m only a garden contractor. But I’ve always reckoned that people can come together in mutual understanding if they properly explain their positions on things. I know even Baptist’s disagree on stuff, and I’ve only seen it once where two pastors condemned each other.

Don’t give up on it mate, Jesus prayed that we would all be one. If we put away prejudice, mistrust and hostility, I reckon we can find common ground.

We can get cynical over years and nurse nastiness against different people but as Christians we can’t give in to it.
I wouldn’t reject a baptist in need, I would treat him as a brother and fellow Christian.

So Catholics are completely alien to you?

As far as the Kingdom of God? The RCC is not a part of it.

    1 John 2:15-17
    15) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
    16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
    17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Catholicism is all about this present world and building their kingdom. Carnival, selling of indulgences, political influence over the world, "The Church" pride, ect.....

    1 John 2:18-19
    18) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that the antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
    19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

God allowed the false church establishment while John still lived. And God allowed it to manifest itself.

The current Pope is a key player in the spiritually adulterous "Human Fraternity" movement.

I’ve always wondered as side note, why Baptist’s in particular judge people as lost or damned. In my understanding of scripture, judgement is God’s place alone.
That the “ judge not least yea be judged “ scripture was a warning against judging against someone’s salvation. It’s Jesus Sovereign space to us.
I tried to tell a young bloke working for me about it, but it seemed ingrained in him to condemn dudes.
Not saying all Baptist’s do that, but it seems like a recurring theme in the culture.

I don’t know, is there a distinction between condemning an individual and a whole multitude.

Those kinds of things I don’t go anywhere near, we were taught to pray for graces and call down mercy on people who we thought were off the rails.

But that is not what you are arguing for.

From that I can only assume we have very different views on history amongst other things.
