Is God angry with Satan? One poster says He is not, just indignant.

So, is the purpose of this thread to get as many people as you can find to disagree with said poster in order to make him/her look bad?

It is to expose their vile teachings and show them that it is not a mainstream belief among us baptists.

Wrath is the handmaiden of indignation. Like sin and trespass, they're not the same but one does not exist without the other.

I think the problem with saying God is angry with Satan is that we're projecting our own experiences with anger into it. Certainly God's anger is not the petulance that so often punctuates our interactions.

None of us really knows what it is to have a righteous anger. Jesus looked in anger at the unbelieving and uncompassionate hearts gathered in the synagogue waiting to accuse him of sin if He healed on the Sabbath. If He didn't withhold anger from thieves and liars in the synagogue, how is it that He would withhold anger from the father of lies?
