Is Hillary hoping that if Obama does get the nomination that McCain will win in November and she will be positioned for a strong run in 2012?

Maybe, I wasn't thinking that far ahead, but it sure could be.

I do not think Hillary is looking that far ahead, now that it looks like Obama is a vulnerable candidate. If the recent turn of events had not occurred, she may well have considered that strategy, but now she is gaining momentum and expecting to win the nomination this year, IMHO.

There is a lot of time left between now an November. I wouldnt count Obama out yet. Just a month a go many were willing to count the carpetbagger out. Politcal momentum can turn on a dime.

I am not saying McCain will win or Hillary is done yet. Just a thought that I had and wondered if she was thinking a long those lines.

This could be her secondary motive but I am sure her primary effort is for the super delegates and the convention in Denver. I noticed she isn't slinging as much mud at Obama. She actually let Wright go with a, "well, he did denounce him". Could that be to reduce the call for her to drop out of the race? Since it is viewed as not good for the party and its shot at the prize?

She may be positioning herself for 2012. I don't think she has much chance at all this term, unless Obama does himself a lot more harm. Anyway Hillary isn't electable, IMO.

I'd consider McCain's chances much better against Hillary.

Hillary could get the VP spot and position herself for 2010.
There isnt anything beneath the Clintons.
