    My wife knows that in social gatherings (even with family) after a while I may disappear for an hour to charge my social battery.

    Well done link. Also a good thing about introverts is that they usually like books. Extroverts are often not as book oriented unfortunately.

    A very excellent description of "introvert", as I fit most of these characterizations to a T

    I hate social events, but to appease my wife I do participate occasionally, but they are a real drain on me.
    I love to socialize with other couples, but two other couples ARE THE ABSOLUTE MAX I can endure for over a couple of hours.
    At about the halfway point though, I'm dreaming of my soon to come solitude.
