    At the bottom of the page of the thread "Is It Possible" by dan e., I noticed this link to this ad by chnlove.com which is basically a pen pal website for chinese women.

    what's going on ?

    I'm not seeing it. I'd run my anti-spyware/adware if I were you just to be safe.

    Pinoy, if it is a google ad, it could be specific to your computer...
    Clear all cookies, reboot, and see if it appears...

    Nothing like that on mine...course I'm using firefox with adblocker and scriptblocker, so I don't have to put up with any ads unless I specifically allow them. :thumbs:

    Most of the ads at the bottom (and the top for that matter) anymore, are businesses who pay Andrew for the privilege of advertising on this board.

    I have seen several 'single' ads. Oh how I miss the 'good old days' when we could have ads banned...

    Nope, haven't seen that one.

    My current fav is the shoe ad that comes in at the top of the page and takes more time to load than the rest of the page. :rolleyes:

    I didn't see that ad, but I did see a banner ad the other day I could not believe was on this board. I can't recall what it was, but it was surprising to find.

    Tiny Tim might be right, you all might be right that it is Google-specific, seeing as what I have is a Gateway laptop with that annoying built-in google desktop on IE.
    However, I do run Crap Cleaner everytime I exit out of my computer so I know, if Crap Cleaner is true to what it says about itself, that there are no cookies left in my system.
    I don't really think it's that big of a deal, since chnlove.com appears to be a "decent" enough pen pal site.
    I just felt that since we call this board a BAPTIST Board, shouldn't those who advertise here be at least those with a Baptist bent or in a more general way, a Christian bent ?
    We now have the Reformed Armstrong Church (no sarcasm, just couldn't recall the correct name) as a paying advertiser.
    What if the next one who advertises is that former cult, the Children of God, now known as The Family ?
