    where you are?

Last year this time we were enduring a drought in our area. Today we are getting more rain and the forecastor said something about parts of the state are too wet.

Right now it is rumbling thunder and pouring rain. What a blessing!

We just had a massive storm come through here - and when I say massive, I mean massive. I've seen yellow and red on the radar but did you know that beyond red is PINK?? My entire town was under the pink on the radar. Yikes!

I went to get my daughter and drove through roads that were totally flooded. I took my van since it's higher up than the cars. It was SCARY but within hours, other than the debris and trash pails in the road and the branches down, you'd not know anything happened.

Wonder if the boat is still floating??

We had some rolling rumbling thunder earlier and a rain shower.

Yesterday evening, the local (Devon and Cornwall) TV weather forecast for today said that there would be heavy rain with thunderstorms at about 8 a.m. It's now 11.30 a.m. here, and although it is drizzling, we haven't had the thunder yet. No drought here, either!

Rained early this morning. When it rains here, it comes down in sheets, then stops all of a sudden. The frogs are having a field day today! It's courtin' season for them now.

    love,

Today is a stormy day in Ohio. Our water table is several inches over what it needs to be, but that typically doesn't mean anything by July. ;)

There are supposed to be scattered thunderstorms tonight, and a couple of the storms could be "severe". I hope it does storm, because it's getting kinda dry around here, but I also hope it holds off until VBS is over at 8:30!!

We are technically still in a drought, altho it's better than last year. I heard on the news last night that the Army Corps of Engineers has decided that they will not release as much water from Lake Lanier this summer, and that should help our water ban situation. We have been very dry for the past couple of years.

Hopefully, we are coming out of the drought! We've had more rain this spring than last spring.

I think we got your share of the rain, Pamela! ;)
We were under a tornado warning several hours last evening. We walked around outdoors most of that time, watching the clouds clash and spotting several funnel clouds! Whoo-wee, it was scarey, but the Good Lord took great care of us and things are more settled this morning. :)

Wow, PJ! I'm glad you're safe! I have seen several funnel clouds, and don't want to see any more. I'd be hiding in the basement!!

You'd think we'd have gone to the basement!
But we were ate up with curiosity. Each of us had a blanket next to the basement door, just in case we would make a quick exit. We were on and off our cell phones, checking with family and friends close by. It was neat to watch, yet disturbing! The funnel clouds would form and appear to be touching the ground, but only a few actually did. Our local towns were very fortunate.
