"I mean, if they're going to run a poll one way, we run a poll the other way. Well over 300,000 people have voted in our poll that [Obama] is not qualified [to be president]. I think [several thousand have] voted that he is qualified," he says. "The poll was a comeback [to the] PBS [poll]."

Wildmon adds while AFA has published how many respondents they have had to their poll, PBS has not. He says it is interesting that the PBS survey has been stuck on 49 percent for and 49 percent against Palin being qualified for vice president.

    Two things...

    1. By Obama leading the national polls by 2 or 3% says a majority of voting American's feel he is qualified.

    2. He has the exact same experience as the great president Abraham Lincoln.

As for Palin, the word would be better stated asked "ready". Everyone agrees she has executive experience as mayor and governor but the question is, "is she ready" IOW "is she presidential". That is really the question people are answering. This goes beyond her resume and more ask, as you see or have met her, do you think she is ready to lead this nation.

Many are blaming the McCain handlers for the response she is getting to this question since they have primarily kept her from speaking her own mind. America has very few news clips to base an opinion and those few clips were not all favorable. They also see that month of sequestering as the campaigns enforcement she wasn't ready as they attempted to "prepare her". Had they of flooded us with clips, positive and negative, these few "gaffs" would have blended in like "gaff" expert Joe Biden's reputation.

I think the blame falls solidly on the McCain campaign.

    Way to go Salty...

A democracy means the person in office may not support your views but they still need your support. Disagreeing with government is the check and balance that keeps them seeking the view of the people. It is the freedom you exercise that makes us the great nation others call America and not the person in office. I consider your post the foundation to citizenship in this great country and that is you have a voice and it's right to be heard is protected in the constitution.

I am greatly inspired by your post...

This is an extremely biased poll. It basically polls far right Republicans asking them about the qualifications of the Democratic candidate. The answer would be the exact opposite if a fair poll were conducted.

they haven't asked a majority of voters, we've not been asked, nor has anyone we know been asked.

Even tied in the polls means many Americans think he's ready. Pert near 50%.

Are you saying that every person who votes for Obama is voting for him because he is an African American?

On the polls. As I have said before, look at a poll, say "That's interesting," and then throw it into the trash can. A poll is simply a snapshot and in reality means nothing this far ahead of the election.

I don't want to mix into American politics, but it seems to me that Mr. McCain (did I get the name right?) leaves some question as to his readiness for president by his choice of running mate. Is everyone voting for him a feminist?

    Cheers,

    Jim

You and the conservative writer Peggy Noonan agree on that one.
