Why should he leave? You stayed. Americas promise has NOTHING to do with obama, the promise is found in the people and most importantly in their God!

We're not rewriting the pledge of allegiance and you have every right to be bitter and not support America.

You're right. It has nothing to do with Obama. It has everything to do with our democratic form of government.

We will have to wait and see if he is a uniter, and spend lot's of time praying for him daily. If anyone can make him into a good President it would be God! It's too early to tell, and the last eight years should have shown everyone that the initial expectations are not always true. Most conservatives thought Bush was going to be the conservative saviour, and he turned out to be an embarassment to the conservative movement, so let's just wait and see with Obama.

He not only can be. He will be.

Americans will eventually revolt to his socialist policies and confiscatory taxes...

    with a vengence.

Now this is strange, he spoke of spreading the wealth in his campaign and was elected overwhelmingly. Why would his policies surprise us when that is what he campaigned on? Now the ones who will revolt are already revolting and he isn't in office yet. So I don't think you can blame him for the revolt, the blame would need to go to the revolter's.

Because 1) the 50+million that didn't vote for him aren't going to stand by and let him rule unfettered, and 2) many of the people that voted for him don't give a rip about policy - they just voted for a personality.

He definitely has a large challenge ahead in light of the harsh campaign waged on both sides of this election. I felt Obama's campaign was significantly less divisive than McCain's but still divisive.

I do appreciate the olive branches he extended in his victory speech to Republicans and 3rd party voters.
