Troll calling = you can't stand to be proved wrong so you lash out like a child and call names.
    Pity

That is sooo typical. You guy's constantly gang up on someone and when they give you some of your own medicine you start whining.
I can discuss scripture without it if you can.
I can also dish out what I get.
    Take your pick.

    5. No trolling. Trolling consists of provoking large volumes of responses by posting absurdities, deliberately offensive insults, etc.

Well take a look around this board and give everyone fifty lashes.
Shall I go copy and paste a sample form all of these guys?
Orvie it is amazing that you cannot discuss scripture but rather resort to ignorance to cover your lack of bible knowledge.
Kind of like a class clowm who is a class clown because he does not have a clue.

I am going to say one thing on this topic and one thing only, you can attack it all you want i'm not going to respond as i'm not going to get anywhere arguing with you as you have a thousand good reasons no doubt as to why you arent witnessing in doorknocking and streetpreaching.
No, doorknocking and streetpreaching are not mandatory for christians, but if you truly believe that there is a literal Hell where the lost will burn forever why in the world would you not be witnessing? Many of the apostles were arrested and jailed for being on the street preaching Christ. Some people have said that they witness to their neighbor. This is good, but if thats all you are doing that is a sad commentary on you. On the street you can reach literaly thousands for Christ in a short time. In doorknocking you can talk personally to hundreds of people. If you are in America where their are NO laws against it and no persicution and you are healthy and able-bodied why wouldnt you go and witness? Why would you sancimoniously say that you are "not called" to do it? Do you have to be specially called to witness publickly for Christ? Are you ashamed to do it? I am quite frankly terrified of it sometimes, but once I get doing it it becomes easier. Why should we confine it to our houses and churches? Why shouldnt we take it out publickly and let the world know that we are not ashamed of the name we bear? Why shouldnt we as christians go out and show that we are not afraid to show that we are different from the world in look, dress, and manner?
This is what I think and as I said I will not respond to any answers to this. If I want a full-scale debate about this I will start a topic on it.
    Yours in Christ,

    KJ Thumper,

I don't think there's anything wrong with streetpreaching or doorknocking per se. But my goal is to be a witness for Christ. If I stand out in the street yelling damnation and hellfire at people I likely will have a net negative impact for Christ. There are enough people already who think all Christians are ignorant, judgmental, and fake. I want them to be able to look at me and say, "I want what he has..." - not "what's that idiot doing over there?" I've seen plenty of street preachers (not to judge them all) - but most of them weren't very Christlike. I got the feeling they were looking for a fight; putting notches on their witnessing belts without care for their audiences.

And a certain poster on this forum who has accused me of not doorknocking enough is meaner and nastier than most lost people I've met. Talking the talk is cheap - Jesus walked the walk.

Hiya Thumper! [IMG] We are facing quite a bit of persecution in our area. Two street preachers were arrested last April(one 16), for preaching from the public right-of-way. Of course, there were "official charges". We've had golf balls thrown, paint balls, bb guns fired, water, trash, etc. Thankfully, no one's been harmed yet.

The Bible tells us that in the last days men will NOT want to hear the truth preached. Every measure will eventually be taken to silence the message of God's judgment, as was the case of Stephen.

Where are the pastors with backbone? Where are the churches? Where are the people of God? God bless you and yours, Thumper.

    In the baptismal pools
baptising new converts -- harvesting souls
for Jesus. They are NOT out on the streets
    making people angry.

Teaching the new converts how to follow Jesus.
    Not out hindering traffic.

In the hospitals, visiting the sick.
In the church helping the hurting.
Ministering in the apartments to fatherless
children. Out at the abortion clinics adopting
throw-away babies. Going to Russia and
Romania to adopt unwanted teens. Etc.

The people are NOT flocking to churches that
oppress them, they are going to churches where
they can serve God and worship Jesus without
    being condemned by petty tryants.

I am closing this thread early.

It, like other threads in the last two days has become as basis for name calling and personal attacks.
