I did not intend to suggest that a person could not hide the truth. I was referring to the fact that those who live contrary to truth show their heart.
Also if a person lies when asked all has been done that can be done, but still ask. I think that you will find that if scripture is followed as given the church would be as the Lord intended instead of what we see today.

However to the topic if someone is a proclaimed non practicing homosexual then they are disqualified even though they do not practice the sin in the flesh.

So from this passage, the Bible indeed does teach that we should walk in a manner worthy of jesus, BUT also teaches that there will be times when a saint of God will fall into sin, then he needs to confess/repent and once restored/cleansed, keeps moving on!

This is a heart issue involved, as IF the sain of God chooses to sin, than he will face conviction, and will know that he has broken fellowship with the father, and will be finding his way back home...
Thing is though that some of us more 'pig heaed" so some will come back after just a "slap on the wrist" others will need to get a good "belt paddling!"

The sinner whois "faking it", will still keep doing same ole thing, as that is his nature on display!

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit (practice) sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot (practice) sin, because he is born of God

Someone whose habits/life styles would be that pf continual commiting acts of sin would indicate taht one was not really saved...

Someone though can be truely saved by/of God, but can still find themselves falling into "besitting sins"

can still sin, sometimes mightily, but will also have heart bent to coming back to their Lord via confession/repentance and moving on!

Scripture agrees with that as long as the sin is not their practice. It just happenes from time to time and they are always seeking how to overcome the sin.
