So what are the "religious consequences" of Romney's Mormonism?

I doubt y'all will get an answer.

Back to the original question. The idea that a person from Utah happens to be a Mormon is some sort of an indication of an agenda is laughable.

It was a wise choice for several reasons. The Dems have falsely accused Romney of being anti-women. Having a woman speak countered this argument.

The Mormons were also known for bigotry in the past. Until 1978 black persons were not allowed into their priesthood or allowed to participate in temple ordinances. Many black people know that the Mormons discriminated against blacks to a degree, although there have been black Mormons from the beginning.

So, I think Romney was trying to appeal to both women and the black community. Nothing wrong with this, shows that he knows what he is doing.

A man who thinks Jesus is Satan's brother or a man who thinks he's Jesus... Hmmm...

Winman, very good posts on an otherwise ridiculous thread.

Slight hijack: There were "good" Democrats in office up till the 80's (and there might be one or two left, maybe, I don't know). Last one I voted for was Charlie Bennett who was a Representative from Jacksonville. He was also a godly Christian.

Zell Miller! Living across the river from Georgia i got the impression that Miller was a political hack. Turns out I was wrong. He was a good governor and a good Senator in the time he served.

Vote for whomever you wish. But I don't quite get why Christians think they have to support either of the anti-Christs just because one will win.

Neither is going to do anything that God doesn't allow him to do. And maybe, just maybe if Christians would for once focus on honoring GOD and turn from their own wickedness instead of trying to elect someone to fix the country's wickedness, maybe just maybe we'd hear from God and HE would once again have mercy on this country.

But unfortunately, the Body is too consumed with fixing the country by its own efforts instead of God's.

Believe I asked SovereignMercy. Already asked you that question.

Unless you already know SM, and are answering on their behalf. Or maybe you've got a weird case of schizophrenia.

I'm not the one posting threads against Romney ad infinitum.

BTW: where are all your threads against Obama?

And given the opportunity just now, you didn't take the opportunity to say anything against the man who professes to be a Christian, but has done more to support sodomites, baby-killers, and increase reliance on the government instead of biblical principles than just about any other president in American history.

    Interesting.

There's no need to. The majority on this board got that covered. :laugh:Might as well give the promoter of the false religion and his false god equal billing with the man who professes to be a Christian.

And equally interesting that lovers of Jesus Christ endorse a man who does not love Jesus Christ.

I get it though. Much like the liberals, when it's seen as a necessity, evangelicals have their situational ethics too.
