I've heard of ICELI and the UN Agenda 21, to which many communities and counties are attached to plans and membership..... without the people knowing the dire consequences of what they and their elected officials have bought into which will take control of their property and through which agreements they have given up their rights for redress of grievances by courts.

The 1906 Antiquities Act has been used by any number of presidents, including Teddy Roosevelt. Nothing new in this. If you want to know why this act was passed watch the Ken Burns series on the National Parks. If it were not for this act Grand Canyon and Yosemite would look like Northern New Jersey.

UN agenda 21 has been around for nearly 20 years. It is not a secret , nor a conspiracy. But it is a blueprint for UN control of the environment.

The chances of Obama buying into the UN agenda and confiscating land is no more likely than a Jimmy Carter, but slightly more likely than Bill Clinton, both of whom did so.

All presidents, so far, have been afraid to link their land grabs to the UN Agenda. The public outcry would be more than they could withstand. But the land grabs still tie in with the goals of liberals in general, government control of everything. The only real question is if they are doing it to benefit the "world" or our own nation. There is no proof that I know of that the UN is benefiting from American liberal land grabs.

It is, however, a good idea to fight all such land grabs and be forever vigilant for the UN agenda.

Since Obama has so completely bought into the global warming scam and openly advocates a cap and trade agreement, locally and internationally, that would send trillions of American dollars out of the country, it is an especially good idea to keep an eye on him.

If you want to know why this act was passed watch the Ken Burns series on the National Parks. If it were not for this act Grand Canyon and Yosemite would look like Northern New Jersey. Clinton used the act also. There have been some people who scream every time this act is used. It has stood the test of the Supreme Court. I find it interesting that author of the article did not mention Bush's using the act to protect 140 thousand square miles. I think he has an agenda and is thus his article is not balanced and damages his credibility.

The most recent proclamations were the establishment of three submerged national monuments[1] in the Pacific by George W. Bush on January 6, 2009.
At 140,000 square miles (360,000 km2), Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument is the largest protected area proclaimed.[2] The smallest, Father Millet Cross National Monument, was a mere 0.0074 acres (30 m2).[3]

Thanks for an absolutely useless piece of information , CTB. But, at least it highlights the fact that liberal democrats like to confiscate land far more than Republicans.

The question is not the legality of the confiscations, but the purpose.

The OP contends the 1906 Antiquities Act is currently being used for political cover, since their real agenda, if there is one, cannot be made public.

No one expects a liberal apologist like you to recognize, or admit, the difference.

    New Jersey
    1,134 people/sq mi
    8,729 sq mi

    Arizona
    55.8 people/sq mi
    113,998 sq mi

Remember this well people, if the Grand Canyon wasn't a national park, Arizona would look like New Jersey. What that means is if the Grand Canyon wasn't a national park, we would see another 1,078 people per a square mile which would result in an additional 122,889,844 people living in Arizona.

    Yep...you heard it here first!
