    Just read a book entitled "Waking the Dead" by John Eldridge. One of the main topics of the book is the status of our hearts. Is our heart after we are saved still wicked or do we have a new heart.

    Good question Corry. (Hello, by the way. Our "home" church is right next to you in Huntsville)


    I have been doing some study on the heart, but really don't know how to answer the heart. I don't think our heart is "wicked" after salvation, but don't think it is "good" either. Very thought provoking.

    We're given a clean heart as it were in that we are no longer under the bondage of sin...but we(by habit only)still sin our clean heart is justification....our habit change by sanctification because were realised from the bondage

    Yes we still sin after salvation and will always fight the battle over our flesh (Romans 7:17-19). However If after we are saved are not our hearts regenerated and now Christ dwells there? (Ephesians 3:16-18)

    aside: Christ4Kildare, Where is you home church? And how is the mission field on the emerald Isle?

    OK, for those who are saying the heart is still wicked after salvation please add some scripture insights as to what you believe.
