Israel: 'No Options' Out on Iran Nukes.

Israel and America need to keep an eye on Russia too.

The U.S. funds Israel, and thru the U.N. we fund her enemies. I think the U.S. has done enough damage over there, and those "allies" should start watching out for themselves.

Israel is the apple of God's eye and we need to protect them.

In 2000 I had he privledge to work in Russia. From my first hand knowledge, Russia providing Iran with nuclear implements is not news. When I was there it was revealed that Putin made a backdoor deal with Iran to provide them nuclear reactors. Public opinion was mostly against the deal, mostly due to its clandestine nature, but since dissent is often met with state violence in the country, there wasn't really a practical solution. This is a compex issue that has much more to do with Russia's stance on Israel than any alliance with Iran in my opinion.

If Israel is indeed the apple of God's eye, perhaps they should turn to him instead of us.

Criticism of Israel is legitimate, but we have no other allies in the region, and at this time I believe we need the alliance more than ever before.

That's not true. We've given Pakistan $10 billion since Clinton left. We consider them an ally in the fight on terror, don't we ?

And we continue to prop up the U.N., the most anti-Israel lobby that exists.

    Doesn't make sense, to me.

Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed."

    So, you curse Israel?

We are to protect and bless them. You see what the Bible says about not blessing Israel.

So unless the federal government takes money by force from taxpayers in these United States and gives it to the modern secular political state of Israel, then Israel is somehow being cursed?

We are to support Israel. The Bible never says anything about not supporting Israel if this or that happens in their politics. Genesis 12:3

That particular Israel ceased to exist in 70 A.D. and does not exist today.

Your verse to back that up would be?

I doubt you have one because the Jewish people of today are the same chosen people of the Old and New Testament.

    I pray for Israel. How's that ?

Scribe, I just don't see how giving them our money, with our strings attatched is blessing them. We restrain them. with our currnent policies. They'd be better off without our "help". I don't share my dear brother KenH's beliefs about them, but I do know that Bush & Rice have done more damage to that state than they have done good. To say nothing of the fact that Arab nations who surround them get three times as much money that we give them. And I know NOBODY likes to address this, but we keep funding the U.N., who actually does curse Israel.

So save yer self-pious judgements. Don't accuse me of cursing them just because I don't march in lock-step with you.

Israel will have all the blessing & support they need, once they turn to Jesus.

    Romans 2:28-29 (ESV)
For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. [29] But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.

    Galatians 3:7-9 (ESV)
Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. [8] And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "In you shall all the nations be blessed." [9] So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

We will just have to agree to disagree on this subject, brother.

    No, self-piousness here. :saint:
It doesn't matter what Bush or any other President tells them. They will attack Iran or whatever else they feel they need to do to protect themselves.

America needs to stop funding the other countries that are against Israel, but sending Israel support is fine.

Israel most certainly listens to the US to some degree. I do think however that if Israel felt threatened enough there isnt anything the US could say to effect their decision.

Israel does not have a sufficient air force to hit the numerous Iranian sites, many of which are well protected underground sites. At most Israel could set the Iranian program(if there is one to produce a nuclear weapon, which I doubt and the latest NIE agrees) back a bit but it could come nowhere near demolishing it.

Also, I don't see anyway that at this point in history that Israel would attack Iran against the wishes of the federal government of these United States. This is 2008, not 1981.

You're correct on one thing it's not 1981 it's 2008 and Israel is much more powerful than they were in 1981.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has already said Israel will use military force if needed, they won't let Iran obtain nuclear weapons.
