Your exactly right! Warnings suffice. So, why exactly don't warnings suffice for our military?

Apparently you did not understand that this is a policy of the military and you will need to debate them on the benefits of this.

 

I understand it is the policy of the military and since I understand that policy I have simply stated that I wouldn't join the military because I find that to be unreasonable. I wasn't the one who brought it up .

I will not even try and defend our military practices on it's recruits. Your mind is made up. I will say it made me a better man. And the training had nothing to do with what would happen if you were captured. The training taught you how to function as a team, how to be extremely physically ready to perform, and mentally prepared to take lives. All I can do is thank you for not wasting taxpayer's $$ just to find out you couldn't hack it.

You cannot compare a missionary with a service member. It doesn't work. Maybe you could say that parents of both know they are sending their kids into dangerous territory. But they have different purposes, and God calls & uses both. I won't speak for missionaries, as I cannot imagine what it is like. You shouldn't try and speak for those who are engaged in armed combat, as you have no idea what that is like, or the training required to prepare one to do so.

He did not do anything to instigate your question to me for the purpose of debating the benefits of a particular type of military training.

 

You brought it up by trying to see it from our point of view. We vets are awful selfish about our point of view, and rightly so.

Like it or not, our military is well aware that torture does occur against those American soldiers who are captured. For this reason, it is not a widely published fact that part of some basic training which is now given in the military also includes stress and endurance training where certain techniques and points of pain are purposefully inflicted and endured with the hope of developing both a confidence and psychological resistance techniques to prevent or delay breaking in special ops forces.

So, while we may not like the idea that some might use discomfort and stress to break down an enemy combatant to talk..... our own forces are being subjected to the same type of manipulation in their training to help them endure similarly designed interrogations or worse.... should they get caught behind enemy lines while possessing essentials of secret information and plans.

 

I am convinced that Czar Obama is an enemy of the state. Now that we know exactly who he is and what he is about due to his actions in the first 3 months, it is easy to predict our grim future.

Here's the scenario:

He is deliberately setting us up for the next terrorist attack. Because of his policies, our intelligence will be dumbed down and the human component--(which was a complaint about the CIA having lost the human intelligence after the Cold War before 09/11 and then was beefed up again under GW Bush)--the human component will be leaving the CIA in droves for fearful of prosecution and utter frustration. That being said, we will be left wide open for the next terrorist attack.

A BIG TERRORIST ATTACK---I believe this is what the big O wants because THEN he can impose martial law throughout this country and he will have achieved his goal of true islamic tyranny. He will have his "voluntary/mandatory youth corps" and use of some of our military to help achieve this goal.

Citizens will not be able to buy or sell without taking the mark (government control of the banking system and private corporations), health care will be under government control (along with invasion of patient privacy) and will be denied to the aged and infirm--those whom the health care czars determine do not deserve medical treatment or those who have been affected by a biological or chemical terror attack (perhaps 100s of thousands), while those deemed untreatable along with Bible-believing Christians, those who support 2nd amendment rights, those who are labeled an enemy of the State (of Obama) will be herded into camps and exterminated. Only those who take the mark will be able to eat (remember his goal of eliminating private gardening and organic crops unless government approved). Anyone caught on the streets searching for food or water will be shot on site as a revolutionary or a common criminal. Habeas corpus will be a relic of the past along with our Constitution. (see below)

Because Constitutional rights are superseded by martial law which can be declared by Executive Order without Congressional advice and consent. The Posse Comitatus Act was basically nullified in 2006 by Congress. This enables the military to assist law enforcement officers in the time of a national emergency. US citizens can be arrested and jailed, habeas corpus rights are no longer granted, when a national emergency has been declared. The pieces are starting to fall into place. The details aren't filled in, but the basic outline of the plan is before the eyes of those who are willing to see.

The outcome is predictable. :tear:

What an absolutely horrible way to use God's word to justify one's political belief.
Jesus prophesied to the women of Jerusalem what will happen to their children at the coming destruction of Jerusalem as a result of their rejection of Him, and this has nothing at all to do with how Jews and God's chosen nation as well as those who profess themselves Christians treated their enemies.
