Do we have many Mac users here?

I recently discovered http://www.live365.com in relation to iTunes. I was searching for on-line Christmas radio and found a good station under holidays/oldies/christian. There's more tunes than talk, but the talk has been good too. This station offers Christmas music 24/7/365.

I've picked up a lot of good tips and tricks off you fellas, so figured I'd pass this along. [IMG]

I am typing this on my iBook over Aiport from my living room :)
iTunes for windows ALMOST makes WinXP tolerable.

I use iTunes everyday but I rarely use the radio features. I even host a gospel radio program in Indiana but I never listen to the radio :)

Hey, what bitrate does that station stream at?
    Thanks

I had a Pentium with Win98. Yet one day after yet another screen freeze I said to my wife that I have had this piece of junk and I went along to the Apple Centre and invested into a Mac computer. I knew nothing about Mac's except that every one of the competitors brand had given me nothing but trouble, so I took a punt on it. One year later I am convinced more than ever that I would never have anything else but a Mac. Easily the best Computer that I have ever had, and way better than my Pentium 4 that I use at work!

I have recommended several eMacs to friends and they are all very happy with them, they are a VERY solid machine, possibly the best in the lineup.

I ahve considered an eMac. I just liekt he look of them. The iMac is really spiffy, but it's price tag ain't.

But, I will probably stay with my PC's. I know how to build 'em, and I know how to tweek 'em. And I just love my AMD's! Windows may not be the holy grail, but it does work...most of the time. Maybe I'll look into Linux when I put together a new machine.

You can download ITunes for PC too. I love the Christian stations on the radio tuner.

    Ben,

I have been looking into them. I have checked prices and stats, but I really don't know how a Mac operates vs a PC (processor speeds and the like).

I have found some decent deals on several different models. Check out www.smalldog.com and www.sunrem.com. But, since I have no reference point, it's all gibberish to me.

I really love to tinker with computers, however. I just don't see that translating over to a Mac very well.

How are the Macs set up for software?

    In Christ,

Not bad at all, they all work on an "OSX" system, currently it is up to OSX 9. Mine runs most microsoft stuff, I can if I want use Internet Explorer, but the Safari web browser is alot better for me personally.

There is a suprisingly high number of different software available for a Mac and often quite alot floating around for legitimate free download.

Some people I know of are getting the older macs and running them on linix which works well too.

Thanks, Ben. I've been reading up on Apple's CPU developments (with IBM). Sounds like they have got it going in the right direction.

I dunno. Sort of feels like me driving a Chevy...I am a die-hard Ford man (have a 99 Expidition, 93 Escort, 93 Taurus, and 86 Crown Vic sitting in the driveway).

It all Depends on our personal Choices!!

I use a Dell with a 200GB hard-drive and 1GB RAM. All Computers are made by someone, and No One is Perfect at all, So, No Computer or Software is Perfect to!

I love my Dell, I Love their Customer Service. I don't use MS Media Player 9 much, I use my iTunes that I downloaded a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, ooopsy another Movie. I really Like my iTunes a lot! I know not all IBM computers cannot use it though..

It was interesting to hear on the news the other day that Microsoft have been ordered to make available a version of Windows without Windows media player. May well set the cat amongst the pigeons!

I too have built PCs and such but when I want a system to "just work" I use my Mac. The thing that I have come to love about the Mac is that you really don't NEED to tweak them. They (for the most part, of course they aren't PERFECT) just work out of the box and you don't need to reload the OS all the time to keep it in shape.

    just my 2¢ (try to make a ¢ sign on a PC ;) )
