Jay Leno

Jay has always had an upbeat attitude. So it doesn't surprise me that he is taking it as well as he has. It reminds me of Ronald Reagan.

 

Two things.
One, he had the best doctors money could buy. Two, he couldn't have had much, if any 3rd degree burns.

My dad also had an accident while repairing an engine where the gas fumes ignited and left him with 3rd degree burns on his arms and chest. He tried to roll on the ground to no avail and thankfully got to a ditch filled with water and jumped in. The rehab with nerve endings regrowing without skin being available left him in excruciating pain for about 3 months. I was the one rushing him to the hospital and seeing him in pain. If Jay Leno had 3rd degree burns he wouldn't be making jokes right now.

 

From the photos, his burns are small in area, which I am sure helped in his recovery. He also received the best care possible, as opposed to my dad's accident in the very rural U.S.
I am glad that doctors were able to help him and he's recovering so quickly. I don't wish 3rd degree burns on anyone.
