    Who's saying she didn't conceive?
Clearly, the virgin Mary conceived in her womb as Scripture declares.

However, the question is what did she conceive? Scripture declares she conceived 'that holy thing.'
Scripture also declares God sent His Son into the world.
    Mary conceived God's Son.

The Greek has several meanings for the Word conceive.... 'clasp,' 'aid,' 'catch,' 'help,' and 'take.'

Scripture also declares God prepared our Lord a body. I believe it was a body that was conceived in the womb, a body God Himself had prepared for His Son.

    Jesus

God put what a man would put in the egg of eve, but it was of Himself, the egg was of Mary. Jesus body was prepared by God to be the sacrificial Lamb, who would do a job that took two one to be the sacrifice one to take away the sins of the world.

Jesus body was aging, it got tired, it got sleepy, it eat. It is the same body that we have. God defeated what we couldn't. What victory do we see if Jesus was in a body that could not fail. Jesus made the same flesh we have obedient unto death. We do find the flesh is weak, but the Spirit of God is strong.

Philippians 2:5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in very nature[Or in the form of] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
    7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature[Or the form] of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    and became obedient to death—
    even death on a cross!
9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

    Hebrews 5:
7During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

I do not see God preparing Jesus body the way you see it, but prepared Jesus body for the sacrifice.

We can defeat this flesh, through Christ Jesus.

Jesus and adam is the same in likeness. The life within them came from God, but the body was formed from the world Jesus defeated what adam did not and our failure is through adam death, but Jesus became the life giving Spirit to all who believe

You overlook the fact that all the eggs of Mary were placed there by the Lord.

Wouldn't you think the Lord knew exactly which of her eggs was to receive His Seed?:godisgood:

Nope, only seeing what the Scripture reveals.

    Yep

She truly is the mother of Jesus but not Christ.

Jesus being the man and Christ being the One risen from the dead who became sin for all of us. To say Mary, the mother of Christ, gives too many catholic impressions.

To incite that "sperm" was incorporated has too many other implications that might be used to deny the deity of Christ.

    Seed

The seed was placed there by God which was from Himself, the woman's egg is basically the soil that the seed of life goes in.

I have no problem with God preparing the body of Christ for Him, egg is of the woman.

Do you know that an egg that you eat did not receive the seed of life, you are not eating a little chicken larva.

But I tihnk you're forgetting Hebrews 2:17 - that Jesus had to be made like his brothers in every way. So he had to come as a baby. Just suddenly appearing as an adult would not be the way most of us arrive here (only Adam and Eve).

I find it interesting that so many Eastern beliefs have tales of people appearing full-grown - usually these are Avatars, incarnations of the Hindu god Vishnu (sometimes they were animals).

It is one of the chief differences between Christianity and many other beliefs (particularly indigenous tribal beliefs and Eastern beliefs) that Christianity has such a clear and compelling story of the birth of Jesus as a babe.

I also see in this attempt to plant Jesus in Mary's womb (rather than see her as his genetic mother) as a sort of gnostic leftover flesh vs. spirit duality.

    Jesus was not 2 people.

Jesus was the Christ at birth and Mary was his mother!

Jesus didn't become "Christ" at His incarnation..."Christ" is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word Messiah, meaning anointed, and refers to Jesus as the Messiah promised in O.T. Scripture:

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (Daniel 9:25-26)

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. (John 1:41)

"Jesus" is Greek equivalent of the Hebrew (Yeshua/Joshua) word meaning Savior:

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. (Luke 1:31)

Jesus refers to the Lord's humanity and incarnation by which He became a man to die for our sins, Christ refers to the Lord's eternal deity as the Son of God.

Christ is the eternal Son of God....He never ceased being God.

Man are you confused! You’ve gone from Monophysism (only one nature, only Divine) to Nestorianism (two natures, two persons) all in the misguided attempt to deny the true and perfect humanity of Christ.

First, Nestorius argued against calling Mary the “mother of God” (Theotokos) going against the Catholic view of Mariology. He would only call Mary the “mother of Christ” (Christotokos) and was accused of making Christ into two persons because of holding to a difference in the two natures.

Second, the Monophysites, while insisting on only one divine nature, and rejecting the two nature view along with the throwing the human nature out with the bath water were being antagonized by Nestorius' refusal to call Mary "Theotokos." They (Monophysites) were the Mariologist. But if you want to attempt to take it a step further while denying the human nature altogether you might want to start explaining how it is that God (Father, Son, HS) in one hypostasis union “suffered and died” on the cross without doing damage to the Trinitarian hypostasis union in your denial of Christ’ Humanity.

Right now it seems you have a position of two persons with one divine nature. Some kind of weird third nature thingy???

I don’t want to overload your brain cells with all the complications you are facing when denying Christ’ humanity, but can you at least pick between your positions?!? [IMG]
