    I never "owed" most of the taxes I have paid except maybe sales tax and local property tax.

    We owe no taxes, we pay when due, like it or not taxes are a fact of life, griping and not paying will make no difference. Solomon over taxed people to the painful point, Jesus paid taxes and told us to pay our taxes, He never said pay what taxes you feel are just. To follow Jesus' example we would pay taxes, without complaint, render unto Cesar.

    It's not a matter of "owing" taxes since in my opinion we pay way more than our share because of greedy politicians who just want to fill their own pockets by voting themselves a big raise.

    Still paying last years taxes off and just recently paid my quarterlies...so every time someone in Washington says "billions", my blood pressure goes WAY UP.
