    Hi AVL,

Good to hear from you brother. I would be glad to share with you that I primarily use the NKJV in my teachings and preachings. In my studies I will use the NKJV, KJV, and if in the NT I will use my Greek NT. I now have a copy of the HCSB and the RSV that I am reading through, don't know how I will feel about them or if I will use them. Earlier in my ministry I used the NIV that was given to me at my ordination, but I did not and really do not care for it that much. So I pull it out every once in a while to see how it translates something I am reading in the NKJV or the KJV. Despite all the arguing on this thread I personally don't find alot of difference between the NKJV and the KJV, the former seems to be a language update of the latter.

God Bless you real well today,

    Bro Tony

Greetings Bro Tony, and thanks for you reply. Glad to know I'm not the only one comfortable here using multiple versions. I use the KJV by preference, but, when I was attending MBBC in 1982, I had the NKJV. I found several professors there that liked the version quite well. I like them both. I like having the different versions for commentary. I haven't preached in 9 years, but used them for commentary and sometimes total study even then.

    Blessings on you and yours.
