Is that a mouthful or what? A story in the news concerning organ and body donation caught my eye and I checked it out. After finding the Mayo Clinic's information, I noticed the name "Noseworthy" and clicked the tab with his name.

    http://www.mayoclinic.org/about/noseworthy-message.html

I wonder what his middle name is?

I'm also feeling the need to look up the origin of this name. I've never heard it before!

    How about you?

What are some interesting, pretty, unusual, or just plain odd names that have made you look or think twice?

Noseworthy was a very popular and famous name from Newfoundland, Canada. The family members moved into government office in Ontario, and one brother moved into ministry. I can't remember where the 3rd brother ended up.

The family is very large and spread out over a lot of country now, including in California and other states.

Hope this helps you.........Oh, the preachers names was Alpheus Noseworthy.

    Cheers,

    Jim

There are Jellymans in this town, a surname I have not come across before. Of course the Maori and Pasifika names do my head in, they are so foreign to me.

My all time favourite was Wun Hung Low....
