"Listed here are a few examples of how John McCain has raised the level of "Flip-Flopperism" to an even higher plateau:

    About his knowledge of Economics:

Tim Russert of the political interview TV program, Meet the Press, recently quoted John McCain as having said: "I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated."

McCain responded saying: "I don't know where you got that quote from. I'm very well versed in economics."

The exact quote, from the Wall Street Journal is: "I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated."

    ...

On Abortion and Roe vs Wade:

As the Associated Press reported on August 24, 1999, McCain proclaimed himself a pro-life candidate. However, he told reporters that "in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support the repeal of Roe v. Wade."

When his comments recently came under fire from pro-life groups, he wrote a letter to the National Right to Life Committee, stating: "I share our common goal of reducing the staggering number of abortions currently performed in this country and the overturning of the Roe vs. Wade decision." "

No in his eyes they can be a punishment. Nothing more evil than that. Now there is something to fear.

When live birth babies can be murdered according to Obama, thats something to fear, and a reason not to vote for him. Or at least it's a reason for bible believing christians not to vote for him.

I don't know Ken, I think a guy is allowed to change his mind/heart. Paul did on the Damascus road and I have many a times... I am sure you have also (don't make them bring up Ron Paul). Now if you can prove he changed his mind just to get a vote that would be a different subject...

I agree, a person can change their mind, like when I don't hold it against Obama if he is a former muslim. The key word would be former. We are all former something.
Now if he continues to support it and believe what he learned from being a muslim, that I would tend to hold against him, simply because he claims Christianity now, means you throw out the old junk, including muslim beliefs.

Barack Obama has never been a Muslim. To say that he was is a falsehood.

Ken this isnt a matter of opinion. You are just wrong on this. Whether he is one now is questionable. But he was at one time to be sure.

Well, in 2004, folks in this forum sure didn't allow Senator Kerry to change without disparaging him.

Can you provide proof? Oh, that's right, you can't. You and others can only attempt to smear him through attempted character assassination. And that is a wicked and unChristian thing to do. Many of the anti-Obama people in this forum are destroying their ability to witness for Christ Jesus.

Ken it has been posted several times. he went to a Muslim school and stdied the Koran. And you can rest you little mind. No one has lost their ability to witness. That kind of hyperbole is just pure emotion.

Simply atttending a Muslim school and reading the Koran does not make one a Muslim. <implied personal attack deleted, reported post - LE>

Do you think that simply attending a Christian school and reading the Bible makes one a Christian?

Attempted character assassination? How about words from Obama's own lips/pen:

Go ahead and vote for him, Ken. But don't assassinate the characters of the members here on the BB who have a right to question his background, motives, associates, and abilities to be POTUS. We ALL have the right to scrutinize every person running for office and the Bible says that by their fruits we shall know them. His voting record is fruit enough for me - he is without question the most liberal member of the Senate from all sources and refused to vote over 100 times (as was pointed out during the Democratic debates by a fellow senator).

Now, let's get back on topic or I'll close this thread.
