John McCain's Best Choice?

    "The conventional wisdom holds that John McCain should lean to his right in making his choice for a vice presidential candidate. This wisdom is completely wrong. Most of the names being bandied about would make terrible choices for McCain. I don't claim to be a political expert in the manner of Dick Morris, but I think the best choice for McCain would be Colin Powell."

    Considering his past history I doubt that Senator McCain will pick a running mate that will make conservatives happy. I won't be the least bit surprised if he picks Senator Lieberman.

    If Senator McCain wants to make a splash with conservatives, then he should choose Governor Palin of Alaska.

    Unless he picks a strong Conservative running mate I am considering voting for a third party candidate.

    :mad: It is not right to dodge taxes while the rest of us are paying our fair share, I think this will kill his campaign.

    I guess John McCain is really telling the truth when he says he isn't good with economics OR money!

    Newsweek is set to publish a highly embarrassing report on Sen. John McCain, revealing that the McCains have failed to pay taxes on their beach-front condo in La Jolla, California, for the last four years and are currently in default

    Newsweek's story is now online. The report notes that the McCains paid the bulk of their back taxes yesterday, but continue to owe additional taxes

    When you're poor, it can be hard to pay the bills. When you're rich, it's hard to keep track of all the bills that need paying. It's a lesson Cindy McCain learned the hard way when NEWSWEEK raised questions about an overdue property-tax bill on a La Jolla, Calif., property owned by a trust that she oversees.     This makes me filled with righteous anger, I am dissapointed in McCain I used to like him back in 2000 but he seems to have changed into George W. Bush.
