    Dear Sag,

    I saw this in Branson MO, and it was the most worthless piece of trash I've ever seen. Not only were taunts made against Christians, comparing Pharaoh to Conservatives, but the theme was wholly turned around from the biblical one of trusting in God in the most trying of circumstances, knowing that he will work all for good, to that of everyone getting their dream to come true. It was utterly sick. It was also quite lewd in the scene with potifers wife. NOT recommended.

    I have seen it once, and I liked it. The staging was beautifully done and the performers were great. That was a professional touring company. A local theater group is putting it on next week, so I am anxious to see how it is done. My aerobics instructor is Potipher's wife, so I am hoping its done tastefully.

    I only saw the video of it, but I agree about 95% with G4G.

    I have not seen it. There is a place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania that does beautiful shows. I have not been but my Mom went. She said they bring live animals on the stage.

    You know it was written and composed by the same pair that did the blasphemy "Jesus Christ Superstar".

    Didn't Andrew Lloyd Weber write this?

    You are correct. The musical is only one step above "Superstar."
    And let me assure you, graceb2u, you would NOT see this production at Sight and Sound Theater, as they write their own, true to scripture and glorifying to the Lord productions.

    Webber wrote it or the music.

    I hated Jesus Christ Superstar. Really disappointed.

    The first time I saw Dreamcoat, I liked it. This one on the Broadway lights makes Joseph to look like a wuss;

    My nephew played Joseph. Was very well done, but was very disturbing to me. Made light of scripture and made me saddened to watch. I wanted to get up and leave, but was in the middle of family, so I sat it out. Would NOT recommend.

    I saw the Andrew Lloyd Webber version years ago with Donny Osmond as Joseph. I really liked this show. At the time I was not a Christian.

    Then a couple of years ago my nephew was in the play at his school. I was disturbed by the scene with Potifer's wife, especially since it was a high school production. Other than that scene I did enjoy the rest of it. I was a Christian at that time.

    I met & talked with Donny Osmond (in a business capacity) when the production came through Minneapolis in the early 90's. He seemed like a very down-to-Earth, nice guy.

    Never have seen the production, though.
