    There are many forms of worship. Some worship in silence, others with loud music, some with tongues, some with long prayers. I just want to figure out, what exactly leads other teens to worship. Also, I bring the question, how should pure, God-centered worship affect our lives?

    Worship? I'd define that in the terms of honouring Christ, praiseing Him, thanking Him, giving Him reverance. How do I worship Him? I'm not exactly sure how to answer this, but I'll do as best as I can.
    I worship Him in prayer. By thanking Him for the blessings He's bestowed upon me. I worship Him when I sing or play piano, because I am useing the gifts He gave me to gloryify Him. [cause I sure couldn't so that without Christ!}
    PRehaps in standing up for Him? I mean that would be standing for Christ, showing you aren't afraid or ashamed to be one of His and declair it. That's like saying: "I'm God's and He is mine. I'm not ashamed, and I will stand."
    Because if true worship is giving the respect,honour, love and preeminance that He deserves I guess these things fall under that. I've never really thought about it. You've brought up a good topic of discussion though. I'm sure someone can answer you better than me, however!

    As Abby said, I have never really "thought" about it, but I'll tell you this.... worship, in my eyes at least, is not with rock music and tongues. The Lord said "speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs..." That is not rock music!!
    Sweet fellowship with the Lord is the best kind of worship that I can think of....

    With all due respect, the term spiritual songs seems rather open to interpretation, I think. And could you please give me the scripture reference for your statement? I'm not trying to sound contrary, just want to read it.

  5. Using the first mention priniple in the Bible for worship- Gen. 22:5 The word worship is used here first in the Bible and has to do with obedience,sacrafice, and Abraham giving his best.
    I also agree that good gospel singing and prayer and shouting and testifying and other things but here is your first mention of worship in the Bible.
    Ephesians 5:19 Psalms,hymns, and spiritual songs.
    Colossians 3:16

    Followship with god is how i would think of worship. I find many different types of worship helpful. Things like praying or reading my bible, sitting in gods presence or listening or singing to songs that i can indentify with or have powerful words or meaning for me.
