    Eighth Grader and 13 year old Jai Smith is on the Bishop Ludden (Syracuse, NY) HIgh School Varsity Basketball team. The Team is currently ranked # 12 in the State.
    This year he is the first substitute off the bench.
    Next year, he is sure to be a starter.

    Do you think his height of 6' 7" is part of his success

    Tyus Jones of Apple Valley Minnesota was starting point guard on his high school basketball team when he was in 8th grade. He was 5' 10". He led the team to the state championship when he was in 11th grade. He then attended Duke University his freshmen year and led them to the NCAA national championship in 2015. At age 19 he was a first round draft pick in the NBA and plays on the Timberwolves. He is now 6' 2".
