Maybe we will get lucky then, and they will put him away for awhile.

Hopefully he will have a long jail sentence so he can think about how he has humiliated the body of Christ. Just do a google search on his name (Kent Hovind or Dr Dino) and you will see the atheists and evolutionists laughing at him and using him to smear all creationists. A very few of them are honest and tell their readers that "Dr Dino" is not a fair representative of all Biblical creationists.

Two examples are here and here .

He calls himself "Dr" but he does not have a Doctorate degree. He "earned" his MA and PhD from Patriot Bible University a non-accredited distance "learning" school. "Name It and Frame It" lists Patriot as a degree mill and a brief search on Hovind finds the following information...

"In 1975 Hovind started a Baptist Christian school and church, at which he pastored and taught for fifteen years. Hovind has no teaching credential or academic degrees from accredited universities in the subjects he taught. In 1989, Hovind started his Creation Science Evangelism with no academic background in science."

Hovind will often talk about his educational experience. What "I have never heard him say" is that he started his own school.

"Unusually, Patriot Bible University will not send copies of Hovind's doctoral dissertation to anyone for review. Doctoral dissertations are normally published by the associated university and made available to the public, so that other students conducting research in similar areas may use the information provided by the dissertation as a reference. One copy is on file at the National Center for Science Education (NCSE) in Berkeley, CA. They will not send it either, due to copyright and distribution restrictions, but people may view it at their facility.
Various criticisms have been made of his dissertation, including charges of incompleteness, low academic quality, poor writing , poor spelling, and ungrammatical style. Barbara Forrest claims that Hovind's lack of scientific training makes it impossible to engage him on a professional level.
Hovind commonly uses the title Ph.D without specifying its area (Christian Education). Under Florida state law, Hovind can only use his title if he "clearly identifies the religious character of the educational program". However, since his official website is Drdino.com, some believe he has not done so. Unlike most doctors, Hovind is listed in the phone book as "Dr."

When questioned about his education and qualification, Hovind typically claims that the arguments are ad hominem attacks. The institution where he gained his degree has made similar comments. "

    More Information.

There is a website author who claims to have read Hovind's doctoral dissertation. This person is clearly an evolutionist and there is no way to verify that their representation of Hovind's work is accurate. If you wish to read it just do a google search Kent Hovind Dissertation.

His behavior before the court is also humiliating to the body of Christ. Shame on Kent Hovind for all of his short cuts.

according to Hovind, he's an employee of God.

He later says he has no income.

Does that mean a worker is worth his wages?

I don't know about most atheists, but the ones on iidb do (that's where I encounter most atheists, maybe they're high caliber atheists there). I've seen them direct those who quote him to the AIG page that tells novice apologists on evolution what arguements not to bother with.

Yes, the "Arguments We Think Creationists Should Not Use" article. Not that I'd ever reccomend AIG as a reliable source, but creationists should read that one; it might save them a lot of embarassment.
