Alright-- is it your position that we cancel security checkpoints at all the airports? If you have seen the original Airport movie (1970), there were no metal detectors or questions about having left one's luggage unattended. Do you want to go back to that, or do you have a fascination with fear?

 

The fear runs much deeper than going grocery shopping - it is robbing us of our cherished freedoms.

 

We've already lost the right to Habeas Corpus due to the Patriot Act. Anyone can be held like the prisoners in Guantanamo without being charged with a crime and without access to an attorney.

I've lost more freedom from PC, as LE said, than from any terrorists or fear of same.

I would think, being in the profession you are, that you would be far more concerned about the freedom you just may lose by condemning homosexuality from the pulpit thanks to those who want to push "HATE CRIMES", than being on guard against a terrorist attack!

I guess your and my priorities are a bit different!

 

If some have their way the 1st Amendment will be meaningless. There will no longer be any freedom of religion if we start snatching it from those who don't believe like "we" do. Religious profiling in itself is theft of religious liberty.

Restrict the borders - yes. But rob American citizens of their rights? Deport or inter them because of their religious beliefs? I really can't believe I am hearing this!

There does not seem to be an understanding that if we take these freedoms from one group of citizens we may very well be next. Do some of you folks really not believe that the anti-Muslim laws of today are the anti-Christian laws of tomorrow?

Yep, some of us don't. Have the anti-Japanese laws of 'yesterday' become the anti-English, anti-Irish, anti-German, anti-Korean, et al, laws of today, or do you think they will be in the future?

It is a lot diffferent than that. First of all, the Pope is an idiot. He represents everything that is not the Gospel. If one has to put their faith in the Pope, I am headed for the Lake of Fire.

To be a Christian is to follow Christ and obey the Word of God. Who has destroyed a country lately in the name of Christ? Jesus made it quite clear over and over again that His kingdom was not of this world, to the disappointment of many.

You need to read the New Testement again, and stay away from the Biblical movies.
