    I don't think it's a matter of faith.

If a person isn't prepared to execute duties outlined in a contract to their entirety, they're unsuitable for the job.

If she objects to a particular aspect of what her job entails, find another job/don't take it in the first place.

The only thing she requested - was to take her name of the "marriage" certificate. In addition
her assistant was able to issue the certificate.

The homosexaul couple were only try to cause trouble.

That's still an unwillingness to perform her duties.

I don't envy her position, but she signed the dotted line agreeing to the job description.

If that "couple" really wanted a licence - they would have had the assistant to prep the paperwork -
This was nothing more than causing an uproar.

There are times, when you go into a grocery store and sign on the belt will say, if you are buying
pork products - please go to another line - since the cashier is Muslim.
Some Taxi drivers refuse to transport customer with booze

Any other such instances where we are to "respect" the religious rights of someone else?

So, do you blame her? When did the American people ever vote for sodomite marriage?

Now if a polygamist came in for 2 or 3 licenses I wonder if anyone would
    put up a force

Really, Salty! Polgamist? Is that some sort of jab at Kay?

    Davis's Personal Life - Wikipedia

"Davis has been married four times to three different men. The first three marriages ended in divorce in 1994, 2006, and 2008. Davis has two daughters from her first marriage and twins, a son and another daughter, who were born five months after her divorce from her first husband. Her third husband is the biological father of the twins. They were adopted by her current husband, Joe Davis, who was also her second husband"

Does that sound like polygamy to you???

NO - not at all. The reason I bring it up - is many want to say that a hom$exaul should have the right to marry -
but if they say a polygamist should t - then they are not being consistent!

As far as Kay - did she become a Christian after those divorces?

Just read the link that Jerome provided. It said that Kay switched from Dem to Republican - that could be one
    reason she lost re-election.

Salty, Kay Davis for sure showed everybody what a humble churchlady can do, when she puts her foot down.

As for polygamy, we already have a lot of it. Joe Smith Mormons have huge colonies of polygamy and Muslims are allowed four wives and can marry little girls, so Allah endorses pedophilia. Trump has been very active in using ICE to bust up pedophile rings to the chagrin of Democrats everywhere.

I was watching the TV program Polygamy, What Love Is This, when it was pointed out that Mormons were going to Colorado to obtain marriage licenses so that they could marry first cousins. I found this shocking but Wikipedia, the unreliable internet encyclopedia, says that many states allow first cousins to marry. There goes my critique of Islam where first cousins marry routinely and the newly elected Congresswoman from MN was married to her brother, which Christians consider to be incest. So it seems that anything goes and genetics is unknown in Hollywood.

Sorry, this is an aside. Now back to Kim Davis, whom I admire for not wanting to sign this for this filth. The Democrats are the only ones who want sodomite marriage and they nominated and elected the woman who was married to her brother.

They did. But there were other problems wit her:
Kim Davis Denied Me a Marriage License. And I’m Not Gay

prising part is that I’m not gay. Kevin and I are as straight as an arrow, but because she didn’t want same-sex couples to get married, she denied everyone their right to do so.

I am a 58-year-old mother of two and grandmother of three. I’m also an associate professor of middle school education at Morehead State University in Rowan County.

After the Rowan County Clerk's office resumed issuing marriage licenses on September 4, Kevin and I went to the Rowan County Clerk's office on September 8. We obtained a license from Deputy Clerk Brian Mason but the marriage license issued to us appeared to be altered by the Rowan County Clerk's office by filling in the space for Kim Davis's name with the words "Rowan County."

The marriage licenses have been changed even further since then and do not contain the signature of the clerk or deputy clerk issuing the license, instead stating that they are issued by a "notary public." Our license and others like it are different from the ones being issued in other counties in Kentucky, and I am uncertain whether a marriage based on an altered marriage license would be valid. We didn’t proceed with getting married at that time

That is all Kay wanted - to not have her name on the license.
