I just found this Article of Faith on a Baptist Mission web page.

"We believe the writings of the Old and New Testaments are fully God-breathed to the extent that God chose the very words from the human writers’ vocabulary so that the Bible is the very word of God, inerrant in all its assertions and teachings. The Bible is, therefore, the only infallible authority for both doctrine and life. Since this is true, it is the special revelation of God to man and the only basis for true Christian unity. The King James Version of the Bible shall be the official translation used for preaching and teaching in the English-speaking world."

Would you say that this mission board is KJO?

There are a lot of Baptist Missions. Can you be more specific?

And yes, it seems like they are KJO.

Yes. Had they said "the KJO shall be the translation this organization (or church) uses" then no. But as it is written, it appears to exceed biblical teaching (and to be KJOism).

No, at this time, I will not be more specific -
reason being, is that we should answer the question based on the statement.

I will name the board in a week or so.

Well, in that case. Since you are purposefully being deceptive, I would likely say that this was purposefully taken out of context.

So, although it may look like KJO, it actually is just describing the translation the church uses during church service. As such, it would be hard to even describe them as KJV preferred much less KJO.

For example, this forum uses KJV as it's online Bible and Squire Robinson's Church from last I heard also uses KJV in the service.

The above quote shows more than just the church services. It says the English-Speaking World.

Or could it be that this mission board is more of a KJ - Preferred
    or possibly to maintain consistency.

1- I am NOT being deceptive! I am looking for answers without being swayed by the name of the actual mission
2- The statement was NOT taken out of context - as I cut & pasted the entire paragraph with no additions nor any deletions.

I assume this board has workers in both English speaking and non-English speaking countries. This clause covers works in the English speaking countries.

    Yes.
    Personally, I find it refreshing.;)

However, I also believe that the choice of which translation of God's word into English one should use, should be a personal choice, and should not be infringed upon by any organization.

That they believe it should be the KJV, I agree with.:)

Is this from BIMI (mission agency founded by Lee Roberson)?

    http://www.bimi.org/BIMI_Doctrines_and_Standards_2018.pdf

If so, I question why the OP didn't include their elaboration on what's meant:

    p. 11 "In the English-speaking countries of the world, all missionaries, directors and board members are to use the King James Version of the Bible in their preaching and teaching."

It certainly a KJV only use view. Whether that means only the KJV is solely the Bible is not clear. Hence your question.

I use the KJV as my primary Bible. I do not hold the nonsense of inerrant translation.
