O.K., so tiny and rsr don't deny beating their wives.

Can't yall see adding to what some one says to allude to something other than what is being said can be so ludicrous? especially the scribe . You probably run around with a tape recorder everytime yall get into a "discussion", but only record thos ethings you van use to incrimininate her. Now am I being presumptuous? Well, neither of you denied beating your wives so let the world decide.

Actually, the question is "Are you still beating your wife?"

If you're going to pose a loaded question, make sure there's a round in the chamber.

I have only quoted your words, which you do not, nor cannot deny. Unlike some people, I do not feel free to add to them to bring them into line with what I think is the truth.

I'm sure this is a fine example of your "adding" meaning to your mv. as long as you "think" you know what it means

    QS said:

Well, you really take the cake. It was you, not I, who said:

As to the other question, well, it's obvious you've reached the end of your rope there. I don't have Prince Albert in a can, either. Take it back to the schoolyard where it can be appreciated.

If you ever did notice, chum, I put the word "adding" into quotation. This is known as indicating quoting some one in text form so ANYONE can read the statement and SEE it is not the intention of the speaker to identify with the use of the word. I DO NOT believe in adding any words to the Bible, BUT your type accuses the KJB translators of such when all they have done is used those "Italicized" words to fully define the passage. But your type surely wouldn't presume anything to the contrary now would you? You go ahead a dance around with your little chicken scratch and continue to look the fool all you want, that is your business.

I believe the "Comma" belongs and is not added, does that BOTHER you? I hope it does!

Well, I'm awake, but only because of your failure to appreciate irony.

You have obviously said that it's OK for the KJV translators to add to the text. Period. But now you won't own up to it and attempt to weasel out of it. You want to have it both ways: The Comma is legitimate, but even if it isn't, the translators were justified in adding it.

As far as "my type," I have never disputed the KJV italics here, and you have no idea what "type" I am.

Whether the Comma is legitimate is a question that has — sometimes — been discussed reasonably here, and I am willing to listen to the arguments. You have mistaken me for one of your strawmen.

Quick. Spirit, my wife says that you are right about me beating her up.

I beat her up every morning. I get up at 7:00 am and she gets up later. [IMG] [IMG]

I must be sleepy because I thought I just saw prince Albert running away with my refigerator, all the while listening to Petra.

My wife says I should go to bed. Good night.

No, I did NOT. You and ohters alluded to that all the while the word "adding" remains in quotation marks. I used that word in quotations to make a point and now you play the part of the antagonizer to perpitrate something contrary to what I thought was perfectly clear. I don't belive I have mistaken you at all. I believe I have nailed you to a tee. My whole post in which you took the quote was somewhat sarcastic, alluding to the lunacy and extremes those will go to and try to deny the Word of God. The "Comma" fits, it is part of Scripture, it gives perfect description of Truth concerning the Trinity and goes right along with the passage in context. I had never even heard it questioned before until I came into BB.

So get a life and get to know me before you keep erroneously judging me, i don't care how good you think you're at it, in this case you are WRONG.
