Well, Ed, I've read the Chick tract. I realize I should know better, but I'm stunnned that this much sheer disortion can be packed into one tract.

(I really liked the part about Constantine being the first pope. Almost as good as the description of Henry's reasons for breaking with Rome.)

But he did have one piece of good advice: Sometimes it's wise to be wary of footnotes ...

Gotta agree with Kristi Ann, I personally love the KJB, the one that works for me.

Dave, I recommend that you invest in a replica AV 1611, the REAL KJV. In fact, I would recommend it for EVERY English-reading Bible student.

I bought an AV 1611 replica for defending myself against KJVO attack and also for comic relief amongst my college friends.

Mr. Chick is a prominent example of a Christian unwittingly fooled by the devil into believing one of his false doctrines.(KJVO) Not that this proves Chick "has a demon" or is only a "paper Christian", but it DOES prove the devil can fool anyone if we forget about how powerful and deceptive he is, and Chick's example proves that a person steeped in one false doctrine can easily fall into another. While we go about our daily activities, the devil has nothing else to do but watch for opportunities to deceive us. If we find ourselves deceived, it's nothing to be ashamed of, as satan is so much more powerful than all of us, but it IS something that should alarm any Christian who sees a brother or sister deceived, warns him/her about it, but the person continues living in that deception.

The only 2 KJV editions I own are the 1769 Blayney's Edition & the replica AV 1611.

    Interesting results.
About 40% of the KJVOs say they
have a KJV1611 (some could be confused,
    KJVOs typically talk about their
    KJV1769 as being a KJV1611
    and their unauthorized KJV1769 as
    being an authorized KJV1611)
About 40 of the non-KJVOs say they
have a copy of the KJV1611.
