Ladies and Gentlemen, the official Dan Ratherism thread

Regarding Dan RatherNot, well, I'd RatherNot listen to him. I never have liked his attitude all the way back to the Viet Nam war days. I don't trust him. I stopped watching CBS News long ago because of their clear liberal bias.

I agree however, he is biased way toward the Left. BUT you gotta love those sayings! Their priceless! ESPECIALLY "We used to say if a frog had side pockets, he'd carry a handgun"

One report states that Dan RatherNot first said "If a frog had side pockets, he'd carry a handgun." during the CBS election might coverage on 11/8/2000. The response was along the lines of "What did he say?" because no one knows what he meant and it certainly isn't some kind of common saying. I'd guess it was RatherNot trying to be cute or likable and failing again to impress anyone with good sense. Maybe it was some backhand comment equating people who carry guns with frogs. Who knows? Remember, it's Dan RatherNot! I'll try not to take that too personally. I sure wouldn't want to croak over it.

There once was an anchorman who really COULD turn a phrase and it was never some hokey contrivance as we have read above. I miss David Brinkley!
