    Remember Latrell Sprewell?

This is the college (Alabama :( ) and pro basketball loser who...
    • Attacked head coach PJ Carlisemo during a Golden State Warriors practice. When Carlesimo yelled at Sprewell to make crisper passes, Sprewell responded told the coach to back off--he "wasn't in the mood." When Carlesimo approached, Sprewell threatened to kill him and dragged him to the ground by his throat, choking him before his teammates rescued their coach. Sprewell returned later and threw a punch at Carlesimo before being escorted out.
    • When offered a 3 year, $21 million contract extension, he publicly vented his outrage, declaring, "I have a family to feed."
Seems as though he, in the process of "feeding his family," he couldn't make payments on his 70-foot, $1.5 million, Italian-built yacht. Authorities repossessed it Tuesday.

I was a big NBA fan in the 1980's and early '90's. And folks wonder why I'm not anymore.

Sounds like a model professional athlete. As long as he's not killing any dogs, what's the big woof...I mean woop? ;)

of course his famous, "I have kids to feed" line...

With the number of out of wedlock kids that some NBA players have been known to sire, that MAY actually be an issue.

'Tis sad these guys live in a world with no morals or restraints.

As I've said many times, ever tried tell one of these guy a better way?

I forget now but the KC linebacker who was killed in a car crash a few years ago, had a handful of kids all over the place. The mothers were getting in line to fight for their children's share but I don't believe it was to much left.

Thanks! As I get older I don't remember as well as I use to, but my wife will say I never did remember well.

Derrick Thomas also played at Bama...hmmm

My "favorite" line among athletes like this is from none other than Barry Bonds. During the 1994 baseball strike, he petitioned the court to lower his child support payments saying it was an imposition since he was not working.

I haven't liked him since. Of course, I didn't like him before that, either :tongue3:

Tom, got to give you a hard time on this one, that wasn't nice. Little was a loved Vol, most of us have folks we like to forget about. But if Thomas was lost, he was doing as the world does and the same goes with Little and many more.

Yes. Little and Goodrich have made huge mistakes. Goodrich's has cost him his career, as well it should.

And as much as I like to pick at our arch rivals, I may indeed have went below the belt. My apologies.

Tom, you are a good man, I don't care for Bama either, when they are playing the Gators.
