So you're saying that if FOX (Fair and Unbiased) News makes a critical remark about Obama's father say, McCain has to take them to task? Or does this only apply to wives? Neither Obama nor Biden made this statement. A newspaper did. So what?

All I heard were the rumors it was Palin's daughters baby but Obama addressed that comment by saying family was off limits.

It's called a "selective memory."

 

That has nothing to do with the Downs Syndrome child. It's about the mother.

 

Who the hacks were intimating was in reality the daughter of the candidate. Stooping to attack children of a candidate is not okay in anyone's book who has a conscience.

 

When these rumors floated or were insinuated by the liberals Obama immediately said family was off limits.

This is similar but not quite the same, Cindy is not McCain's child.

This would be closer to saying how Todd Palin was associated with the secessionist group. And how Palin spoke at their 2006 convention. And how Todd works for big oil and his wife is trying so hard to get the new pipe built for big Alaska oil.

I think those would be closer t the Cindy McCain attack.

 

I made no reference (by equality) to the Cindy McCain attack. However, as Molly Ivins has said, no one put a gun to the candidates' heads, so since they choose to run, just about anything is gonna be fair game. But that's no excuse for the media to put a gun to the heads of family members whose names are NOT on the ballot unless they willingly interject themselves into the campaign in a substantive policy level.

 

About as reasonable as questioning Obama's citizenshop.
