    I think she will run.

I think she can get nominated by the Repubs.

Not sure if she can beat a Democrat candidate. The Populists, me included, are not a fan of her. With the lack of swing voters nowadays, estranging the populists in Republican politics could reduce her base enough that victory is almost impossible.

The only person I see that is currently unifying the Populists and Republican vote is DeSantis.

So if Niki is the R nominee running against Biden - what would be your vote?

    Trump.
Biden is better than her. She is a traitor; a dirty traitor.

Used emergency action as governor to remove the Confederate battle flag from the fallen Confederate soldiers memorial.

I thought SC passed a law moving the Confederate flag to memorial parks instead of Statehouse.

    Peace to you

They did. Look at how the law passed. N.H. called for emergency action by S.C. legislature.

Ok, she was Governor and pushed the law to move the confederate flag from state government buildings to memorial parks.

Doesn’t that preserve the historic aspect of the flag?

    peace to you

That can preserve the historic aspect of the flag.

In spite of that, I disagree with the action of the Governor
but that does NOT her a traitor; let alone a dirty traitor.

Agreed. The history, as I understand it, is that the current confederate flag began being flown in public government places in the early 1900’s about 40-50 years after the civil war.

It may have started mainly as a way to honor confederate soldiers from the civil war, but many saw it as an attack on, or a way to intimidate Americans of African descent.

I have never thought about the confederate flag one way or the other. That sad, Haley’s position seemed to be a good compromise to maintain the historic aspect of the flag, honor confederate soldiers in memorial parks, while acknowledging many find the flag offensive because it represents state support of slavery.

There was no position that could be taken that didn’t create hard feelings, but Hailey’s position was about as good as you could get.

    peace to you

Depends on who else is running.
If the conservative voters are divided, it would likely give the Democrats a win.
