Yep, you do tend to use 'almost', 'seems like' and so forth. But the fact remains you brought up the subject of patriotism, not me. So no use complaining if I respond in kind.

The CIA readily admitted to Novak, when he called, that Plame was a CIA employee. They sure didn't seem to be concerned about the "outing" of a covert agent, or her front company. Would I personally have printed that information in a column? Nope. I'm not here to defend him, and as I said a couple of times, you are free to think whatever you want about Novak. I don't care.

So you say. But when you claim that plastering details of the NSA surveillance operations across front pages is acceptable, just because there was disagreement about the legality of certain aspects of that program, that tells me otherwise. Maybe selectively subordinate would be more accurate?

 

I'm sure you do, and I am more than willing to drop that whole line of discussion.
