Licensure proceedure.

    yup. I followed your advice too. Answered as briefly as possible and let them ask more if they wanted more. I noticed after I sat down that I was sweating though. Preaching a sermon was easier.

    I was assured that the questioning for ordination would be similar, only much longer.

    You know, God was right there leading me all of the way. I know it because I was calm and collected throughout the process. I am thankfull to my friends here who were praying for me through the process.

    Like I said I agree with the pastor requiring what he did. It is a way to prepare me for the ordination process.

    I can sympathize. Just went through ordination process in 2002. Underwent over three hours of "grilling" by 45+ pastors, retired pastors, missionaries, Bible college and seminary profs, etc. Honestly, though, it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had thus far in my young ministry development. I suppose it helps to be prepared.

    If/when you (or anyone else reading this) approach ordination, I have two helpful sets of potential questions that were given to me to help prepare me for the process. Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like them.
