Country music legend and former Beach Boy, Glen Campbell is the seventh son of a seventh son.

Folklore says that the seventh son of a seventh son has mystical powers.

    Something I read:

Number of physicians in the US -- 700,000

Accidental deaths caused per year -- 120,000

Accidental deaths per physician -- 0.171

Number of gun owners in the US -- 80,000,000

Number of accidental gun deaths/year (all age groups) -- 1,500

Accidental deaths per gun owner -- 0.00001875

    Ratio 0.171 / 0.00001875 -- 9,120 to one

Doctors are more than 9000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Even if you take the total number of deaths caused by gun violence per year -- 15,000 -- doctors still kill ten times more in numbers and the ratio is 0.171 to 0.0001875 -- 912.

Charlie Daniels, Phil Keaggy, Jerry Garcia and Billy Joe Shaver all have one thing in common: all are missing the ring finger on their right hand.

Among, Jimmy Buffett's hobbies are restoring and flying WWII era aircraft, particularly seaplanes.

Although he's been dead for nearly twenty years, the Chicago Cubs honor folk singer, Steve Goodman, by leaving a seat open for him just behind the Cubs' dugout. Goodman paid homage to the Cubs in his song, "A Dying Cubs' Fan's Last Request".

Don't know about the others, but Keaggy is actually missing the upper part of his middle finger (the first joint and above) on his middle finger. You can see it on photos on CD covers and it is apparent in person. He's compensated very nicely for the loss of that plucking finger though. :D
