So they're banned on game days.

    This is just plain funny.

What on earth do they do during gym? A lot of gym clothes violate the dress code too. Do they have a swim team? This is just silly! We always wore our uniforms on game day to let people know there was a game and get people excited and wanting to go.
There are outfits that follow school code that look so trashy, but this they ban? Crazy!

The point made was that swim wear is only for the pool, not the classroom.
Granted cheerleader unifiorms should be fit for the classroom as well.

That reminds me. Several months ago I was in Chick-fil-A and there was a young teen wearing tight obscene short shorts. I told a friend her parents should be ashamed letting them go out like that, then a whole bunch of them came in. It was the volley-ball team. Guess appropriate depends on the environment.

I would say to give them a cute pair of sweatpants that would work with the outfit and let them wear that top. Honestly, that top is nicely modest, IMO! It has a higher, tight neckline - better than most t-shirts! It's just the skirt is sort of short - so get pants!

On game day at our school, the players of various sports can wear blue jeans with their game shirt or shirt specifically made to wear on game day. Cheerleaders could do something like that too.

Our girls' softball team wears a really nice and dressy sweat suit outfit on their game days. Wearing their uniforms would be awkward.

When I was in HS, the basketball and football players were required to wear dress slacks, proper shirt and tie!

And the cheerleaders outfits were modest - all this in a public HS

I googled the uniform and this, apparently, is it. Hmm ...

I've seen girls wear worse out of their own closets.

By the way, an additional rule for cheerleaders and athletes when I went to school was you didn't go into any establishment that served alcohol with any part of your uniform on. Kinda ruined the Pizza Hut pre-game tradition.

Prudes. Every one of you. Thongs and nipple cups is about the only standard I can glean from the Scriptures--if that much. Depends on how society reacts. In some cultures, topless is no big deal.
